Pair of Vintage Charlotte Perriand Lamps
1 pair of vintage Charlotte Perriand table lamps. These are a very rare find especially with their original paint finish and as a pair. Please note the lamps have been re-wired and fitted with concealed handmade timber bases. The lamps have been left in ‘original’ condition without major restoration (please see full description and photos before purchasing). Vintage examples of Charlotte Perriand’s work continue to increase in value as her importance within the modern movement is finally receiving the same recognition as her long term collaborators Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret.
Size (approx)- shade dia.190 x 150mm(D). Base- dia. 150 x 40mm (H), this includes concealed turned base extra section. Fully extended height is around 670mm. The lamps have been lightly cleaned, re-wired (including earthing) and fitted with concealed handmade wooden bases (for safety reasons). There are some parts to the lamps that are not original these are- one of the caps on one of the shades, the switches on the bases and the lamp holders. All the works that have been done are fully reversible should a full restoration be carried out in the future.
These vintage industrial lamps were manufactured by ‘Jumo’ in France circa 1950-1960s. They consist of steel bodies, articulated arms, and enamel shades. Please note the price is for 2 lamps.
