'Queen Bee 2' by Michael Dix

£135.00

'Queen Bee 2', reverse painted acrylic on glass by hand. Each intricate miniature is based on a life size Queen Bee. Size- 120(H) x 120mm (W) (framed).
The paint on these pieces is applied in incredibly thin watery layers from dark to light. Certain areas such as the wings and the edges of the fur still have a high level of transparency, this allows light to pass through the bees giving them a sense of mass and realism. Please note the bee you receive may differ slightly from the one shown in the photos as each one is hand painted by Michael Dix.
