Antique Provincial Crackle Glaze Storage Jar
Provincial Trade Ceramic Storage Jar, Qing Dynasty (est. circa 18th–19th Century).
An exceptional antique provincial storage jar exhibiting a wonderful wabi-sabi aesthetic. Potted with a generous globular body and short neck, the vessel is covered in a crackle-textured glaze that has developed rich, warm iron-staining and atmospheric patination over centuries. The body is subtly hand-painted with fluid, minimalist underglaze blue-grey abstract landscape and horizon brushwork. The recessed unglazed base reveals an authentic hand-painted workshop character mark. A tactile, highly decorative object with profound organic character.
