An old outbuilding on an Aberdeenshire sporting estate was refitted as a rod room, bringing character and atmosphere to the start and end of a day’s fishing. Alongside storage for rods and equipment, it provides somewhere to change, dry wet clothing and gather around the wood-burning stove. Dark timber panelling, brass fittings and aged furniture create a welcoming setting for preparing for the river—or sharing a glass of whisky when the day is done.
